Iran Agriculture Minister: Regional cooperation key to food security

Astana - Regional cooperation is essential to ensure food security and sustainable development, according to the Iranian Minister of Agriculture.

Addressing the International Trade Forum in Astana on Tuesday, Gholamreza Nouri said, "Mutually beneficial agricultural partnerships can enhance regional integration and improve the livelihoods of people across neighboring and strategic partner countries.”

The minister highlighted Iran’s unique geopolitical position at the crossroads of East-West and North-South trade routes, positioning it as a natural transit corridor for agricultural products.

Nouri noted that Iran could serve as a vital conduit for goods from regional nations such as Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and China.
